Job Overview
The Zakat Support Officer makes sure TCF's zakat process is carried out consistently and correctly across all of its schools, so that zakat reaches families who qualify under Shariah guidance. The role covers mastering the full set of questions prescribed by the Shariah Advisor, including the intent, manner and tone in which they must be asked, and keeping guidance notes and FAQs ready for field teams. The officer visits schools across the TCF network to observe how zakat assessments are actually done, spots gaps or deviations, and guides principals and staff on the correct approach. Training is a core duty: running sessions for principals and relevant staff on zakat eligibility and family authorization, plus annual refreshers whenever required. The officer also reviews how the process is working, gives structured feedback for improving guidelines, training and documentation, and works with the department and the Shariah Advisor's office to strengthen the framework. Coordination runs across school, area, regional and zonal teams, with finance colleagues on zakat implementation and with the Shariah Advisor's staff on clarifications. The post involves travel across Pakistan to support school teams on the ground. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree and ideally be a TCF principal or teacher with several years of experience who has completed an Alima course. Strong training ability, clear process-oriented thinking, and a personable, coaching approach to supporting principals and staff are expected.
