Aga Khan University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor / Associate Professor (Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene) in the Department of Surgery, within the Medical College.
The Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene is a two-year degree programme recognised by the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan.
The post serves as part of a progressive faculty team mentoring, instructing and overseeing undergraduate and graduate dental hygiene students in all learning environments.
Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation are covered, with didactic instruction and coordination in the clinical section, clinical education sites and research.
The programme spans liberal arts, basic sciences including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, immunology, microbiology and pathology, and clinical sciences including dental hygiene, radiology, community health and dental materials.
Education promotes scholarly activity in dental hygiene theory and practice, delivering high-quality education and services cost-efficiently.
Applicants must hold a Master's in Dental Hygiene, Education or a related area and be licensed and registered dental hygienists.
At least 5 years of dental hygiene practice and teaching experience in a college or university setting is required, with curriculum management experience.
Experience coordinating a team in academic, research and clinical settings is required, with sound conceptual knowledge and ability to integrate theory into practice, plus consistent senior authorship of 1–2 investigative research papers per year in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
