About the Role:
Zones is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Global Analytics & Business Intelligence practice in Lahore. You will design, build, and optimize high-throughput data pipelines that ingest and process transactional records, telemetry, and supply chain data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting millions of daily records.
• Design data warehouse models, schema definitions, and dimensional tables in Snowflake / Redshift.
• Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and product managers to deliver query-ready data marts.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and storage performance to ensure low-latency dashboards.
• Implement automated data validation, error alerts, and lineage tracking across all feeds.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building resilient production pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and complex SQL query optimization.
• Solid experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery).
• Familiarity with workflow orchestrators like Apache Airflow or Prefect.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
