Job Overview

Birmingham City University is recruiting a pool of Visiting Lecturers to join the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's Acting provision. Applicants join a visiting-lecturer recruitment pool; roles are part-time, fixed-term and paid hourly, with hours agreed with the academic schools as teaching opportunities arise. The post supports undergraduate and postgraduate acting and theatre programmes, alongside the Conservatoire's music and Junior Conservatoire offer. Tutors are typically professionally active performers, practitioners or creative artists with an established or growing international reputation in theatre or related domains. Candidates must upload a current CV and two supporting statements covering their areas of expertise and teaching or relevant professional experience. The pool is refreshed annually; new engagements from 2 November 2026 are employed through BCU Support Services Limited. The position is based in Birmingham and the pool remains open until filled. Informal enquiries about the opportunity are welcomed by the Conservatoire's vice-principal's office. Original company posting: https://jobs.bcu.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=RBC25005
