Job Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers for its teams across a number of hospital sites, with this posting linked to the North sector.
Support workers help registered nurses and medical staff care for acutely unwell patients, assisting with personal care, observations, and basic clinical tasks.
You would help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment and contribute to team-based, patient-centred care in high-pressure situations.
The trust wants enthusiastic, reliable people with experience in a healthcare or care environment, such as hospital or community settings.
Candidates should be compassionate, adaptable, committed to high-quality patient care, calm and focused in busy and emotionally challenging settings, and eager to learn new clinical skills.
You must be able to start immediately.
The post offers a supportive team with a structured induction, hands-on experience in urgent and emergency care, career progression, and staff wellbeing support.
Applications must be fully completed with right-to-work status clearly stated, or they will be considered incomplete and not shortlisted.
The post may close early if response volumes are high, so early applications are encouraged; interested candidates can contact Kevin McAuley, Chief Nurse for the North Sector.
