Job Overview
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is recruiting a Senior Clinical Fellow for Oncology and Complex Arthroplasty (reference 303-8359368).
The post is a 12-month fixed-term appointment, full time at 40 hours per week, with a salary of £67,325 to £76,582 per annum.
The fellow will combine orthopaedic oncology and joint reconstruction commitments, providing consultant-level cover for orthopaedic oncology sessions and taking responsibility for inpatient care of oncology and arthroplasty patients.
Duties include teaching medical students from Birmingham University during their oncology attachment at the hospital, alongside normal clinical commitments.
Weekly research sessions are built into the post for ongoing research and audit, and the fellow will play an active role in the hospital's clinical audit programme.
The successful candidate will gain broad experience by working with each consultant within the service; clinic and theatre times vary with availability.
Applicants must hold FRCS (Orthopaedic) or an appropriate higher surgical qualification, be GMC registered with a licence to practise, and have experience in both orthopaedic oncology and joint replacement surgery, including management of hip and knee conditions.
Applications close at 23:59 on 18 November 2026.
