NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a Band 5 Staff Nurse for its Nurse Led Pre-Operative Assessment Team in the North Sector. The post is part time, 26.5 hours per week, worked as 8am to 6pm shifts, with salary pro rata. The Staff Nurse is actively involved in direct patient care for a designated patient group requiring pre-operative assessment prior to surgery or anaesthesia. The purpose of the care is to competently perform the necessary administration, technical, invasive and physical aspects of care for this patient group. The post-holder ensures an effective delivery of support to patients and the service, maintaining an acceptable standard of care. Through divisional policies, the nurse provides a safe environment for the treatment of patients and the protection of staff. Candidates need a live NMC UK pin and a minimum of three years post-registration experience, preferably within a theatre, surgical or anaesthetic environment.
