Job Overview
The Wassum Lab at UCLA is recruiting postdoctoral fellows and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
Postdocs craft and lead a project that combines their own intellectual and technical training goals with the lab's funded research aims.
They gain access to the team's deep technical toolbox and collaborative environment, with continued training in behavioral, systems, and molecular neuroscience.
Fellows also mentor junior lab members and receive academic and career mentoring, including support for fellowship and independent funding applications such as F32 and K99 awards.
Networking and travel to scientific conferences are part of the experience.
Desired qualifications include a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field, with relevant neuroscience research experience.
A collaborative spirit, commitment to technical and career development, and the desire to conduct cutting-edge research are expected.
To apply, send a cover letter covering prior work, research interests, training goals, and a brief project idea, plus a CV and contact details for two recommenders, to kwassum@ucla.edu.
