Job Overview

Harvard University's Organismic and Evolutionary Biology department invites applications for a postdoctoral position in terrestrial ecosystem dynamics in Professor Paul Moorcroft's laboratory in Cambridge, MA. The appointee will take part in a process-based biosphere modeling study of tropical forests. The project's goal is to identify and characterize the underlying drivers of differences in how tropical forest ecosystems in the Amazon and Congo respond to climate variability and change. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. with a strong background in terrestrial ecosystem ecology, terrestrial biosphere modeling, or a related field. Previous experience with terrestrial ecosystem models or land-surface models is strongly preferred. Applicants should submit a cover letter outlining interests and suitability, a CV, up to three published papers, and names and contact information of three references. Application review begins immediately and continues until the position is filled; salary range is $67,600-$80,000. Contact email: meripetollari@fas.harvard.edu.
